Travel with Peter

Travel has been a love of mine from a very early age.  I had a world map on my study desk as a secondary school student and I used to draw lines to the places I wanted to travel.
Some of the places travelled in no particular order, with family, friends meeting new friends and greeting old ones:

  • By car, alongside the Darling River, Wilcannia to Burke
  • Wurrumbungle National Park
  • Outback Queensland - SEQ, FNQ and CQ
  • Kosciusko National Park - xc ski thredbo the Kosciusko
  • Swim with the whale sharks Ningaloo Reef WA
  • Broome and the Kimberley
  • Mungo National Park
  • Skiing in Vermont, BC, Thredbo, Falls Creek, Hotham, Lake Mountain
  • Mountain bike riding downhill at Whistler and Hotham
  • Caving at Buchan and around Canberra
  • Hiking the Alpine Walking Track
  • Rock Climbing at Arapalies, Grampians, Cathedral Range
  • Tasmania all over!
  • Rail to Alice Springs 1959 (original ghan) and then rickety old bus to the camp ground at Uluru - climb the rock without the safety rail!
  • Rail across the Nullabor

  • Egypt - Cairo to Aswan - bus, boat and donkey
